Satya Nadella, President and CEO, shared the following message with Microsoft employees this morning.

As I look at the next phase of Microsoft, both in terms of scale and tremendous future opportunities, it is clear that we must continue to recruit exceptional talent at all levels of the organization to enhance our depth and capabilities in all our business priorities, ranging from security, quality, and AI innovation.

Jay Parikh

In this context, I am excited to announce that Jay Parikh will be joining Microsoft as a member of the senior leadership team (SLT), reporting to me. Jay was the Global Head of Engineering at Facebook (now Meta) and most recently served as CEO of Lacework. He brings an impressive track record, with a unique blend of experience in building and growing technical teams serving both enterprise and consumer customers. His deep connections to the startup and venture capital ecosystems, as well as his leadership roles at Akamai and Ning, will bring valuable insights to Microsoft.

Over the years I have known Jay, I have admired him as a respected technology leader and engineer, deeply committed to driving innovation and pursuing operational excellence. His focus extends beyond technology, with his passion and dedication to developing people, fostering a strong culture, and nurturing world-class talent, all in service of delivering customer value faster and driving business growth. Indeed, there are very few leaders in our industry with Jay’s experience in leading teams through the rapid growth and scale required to support today’s largest Internet companies.

During the onboarding process, Jay will immerse himself in learning about our company’s priorities and culture, and will spend time connecting with our senior leaders and engaging with customers, partners, and employees around the world. We will share more about his role and priorities in the months ahead.

Join me in welcoming Jay to Microsoft.

Satya
